Custom printed flags are an effective marketing tool that uses colour and movement to gain attention and visibility. Custom flags are perfect to fly alongside the Canadian and provincial flag. There are a variety of ways to print these, including digital print (acid dye digital printing on nylon), screen printing, and sublimation. At Aurora Flags and Banners, we either screen print or digitally print our flags on 200/210D nylon or knitted polyester. The material and printing method is determined by the client’s budget, the artwork, and the quantity of flags needed. We do use the sublimation printing process, but due to the lower ink penetration, the process is reserved for other fabric printing applications like custom backdrops and table covers.

Custom Printed Flags NylonKnitted Polyester
Custom To You
We offer two fabrics for custom printed flags: 200D nylon and knitted polyester.
Nylon is a premium product that offers maximum durability and better colour penetration (95% bleed through onto the back side). Knitted polyester is a more economical option, although it still offers a great print with approximately 70% bleed-through rate onto the back side.
Flag Finishing Options
Our standard finishing options include rope and toggle, grommets, or a sleeve. With nylon flags, we offer a choice of rope and toggle, grommets, or a sleeve. For knitted polyester, we only offer finishing with grommets or a sleeve. The rope and toggle and grommet flags are sewn with a reinforced header for durability.
Flag Sizing
Custom printed flags come in a variety of shapes; however, the most common size in Canada is 3’x 6′. The 3’x 6′ size is used for flagpoles that are between 20′ and 30′.
See the chart located in our FAQ section for a detailed review of typical flag sizes for typical flagpoles.
Details Matter.
